How did you find/how long have you been playing with NYCFH?
PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER, BABY! I started it in 2006 bc selfishly I missed playing and just wanted to hit around and wasn't looking for anything too competitive.
What have you enjoyed most about NYCFH?
The laid back vibe…i am still amazed that after 16 YEARS of this group…everyone is still sooo nice who comes to play with us! I love that friends/former players have reconnected after years apart because they came to play with us! I love how lifelong friends have been made through this group. For me, NYCFH has become a second family. Hockey brings people together!

How did you find/how long have you been playing with NYCFH?
I joined around 2011, and have played regularly since. I found the group via Googling and joined several sessions to get a sense of the level of play (casual!) and vibe of the members (welcoming, friendly and open-minded).
What have you enjoyed most about NYCFH?
This is a unique and diverse group across ages, professions, personal backgrounds, and newness to NYC. I appreciate our traditions such as Halloween Hockey—it's an invitation and celebration to be silly, spooky, and/or creative every year!

How did you find/how long have you been playing with NYCFH?
I've been playing with NYCFH since 2013. I used to play with a lacrosse club in the city that had practices on the turf at Chelsea Waterside after NYCFH and one of my teammates who also played with NYCFH (Hi Yarden!) encouraged me to join.
What have you enjoyed most about NYCFH?
Is it lame to say "the friendships"? Because it's the friendships for me. It's been so cool to meet so many different people from all over the world who are all united by their love of field hockey.

How did you find/how long have you been playing with NYCFH?
I started playing with NYCFH in 2014. After moving to the city, I found myself missing field hockey and just started googling options. NYCFH came up and I basically showed up to every session that year because I missed it so much.
What have you enjoyed most about NYCFH?
The people! I love how everyone who comes to play shows up because they love the sport. It’s so great to see people reconnecting from grade school/college days or make new friends. I also lowkey enjoy rediscovering those specific field hockey muscles each season.
